Lagoons (2 Days / 1 Night)

If you don’t have much time to visit the entire landscape of Bolivian altiplano, come and visit the enchanting scenery of the world’s largest salt flat, flamingos and lagoons.

1th DAY


At first you are going to visit the Train graveyard where you will see locomotives from XIX century, after 30 minutes you’ll visit  the town of Colchani, where you will see the rustic salt factories, if you want to buy a handicraft made of salt or textiles made of lama woolen, it is a good place where you could choose one, then get ready to see the wonderful Salar de Uyuni that has more than 10.000 square kilometers, into the salar you will visit the piles of salt (small pyramids that local people do to dry and then process the salt) next, you will see the  Ojos del Salar  (natural conduits that ends in holes through which circulate salt water) then, you will visit   the first and only salt hotel into the salar (museum). After this you will go straight to the Isla Incawasi (Incawasi Island) where you will have photographs of the giant cactus, rock formations of petrified coral and in this place your lunch will be ready when you return from your small trek, continuing your journey you will enjoy the landscape in the middle of the salar and of course photographs taken with perspective, finally you will spend your night in the small town of San Juan.


2nd DAY


The tour starts at 08:00 a.m. after your breakfast you will stop to visit the viewpoint of Ollague Volcano (5.865 meters above sea level), where you can see the smoke emanating from the active volcano, afterwards you will take pictures of the first flamingos en the lagoons Cañapa and Hedionda, where you will have lunch, later you will visit the Valle de Rocas, San Cristobal town and finally Uyuni.


Returning to Uyuni at about 17:00




  • Transport Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4.
  • Food: 1 breakfast – 2 lunch – 1 dinner.(Vegetarian food optional).
  • Basic accomodation made of salt.
  • Driver - guide  (spanish).




  • Entrance fee to the Incawasi Island 30 bolivianos p/person  (foreigners).
  • Water during the tour.
  • Hot Shower 10 bolivianos p/person.
